Qualifications

  • Previous truck and trailer repair experience.

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.

  • Heavy-duty or Truck & Transport Mechanic certification is an asset.

  • Valid driver's licence preferred.

  • Dependable and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial trucks and trailers.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing.

  • Repair air brake, suspension, wheel-end, and electrical systems.

  • Diagnose trailer lighting, wiring, and mechanical issues.

  • Complete breakdown, emergency, and general mechanical repairs.

  • Test repaired equipment to ensure safe operation.

  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
